Mind Twist Life Lessons

* If a man empties his purse into his head, no one can take it away from him *
*An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest

*First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.*

"When you're one step ahead of the crowd you're a genius.
When you're two steps ahead, you're a crackpot."

*The love you withold is the pain you carry*

This was on a card that I got from my father that he received from a friend some 40 years ago.
Get up earlier in the morning then your competitor, work harder and scheme more, stick more closely to the job, and stay up late how to get ahead of him while he is sleeping, not only will you leave more money when you die then he will...but you will leave it a dam-site sooner.

A personal one...(Chinese Proverb)

Money is the barometer of society's virtue. If you see that money is flowing to those who deal not in goods but in favours ;
if you see men get richer by craft and pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them but protect them against you ;
when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty become a self sacrifice;
then you know your society is doomed.

Of course this life lesson page would be nothing without a life lesson from the man who made all possible and for who I have a never ending admiration!

transport of passengers and supplies and transmission of energy will conditions be
brought about some day, insuring permanency of friendly relations.
What we now want most is closer contact and better understanding between individuals
and communities all over the earth and the elimination of that fanatic devotion to exalted ideals of national egoism and pride, which is always prone to plunge the world into primeval barbarism and strife.
No league or parliamentary act of any kind will ever prevent such a calamity.
Nikola Tesla, (1856-1943)
